Current & Past Supervision
Kelsey is interested in supervising students in the areas of agricultural, food and culinary tourism, non-commercial hospitality, battlefield tourism, scuba diving tourism, and volunteer tourism. Kelsey is also interested in serving on supervisory committees where she can contribute to the methodological development of a student's thesis in the areas of qualitative methods (qualitative content analysis, discourse analysis, ethnographic interviews, oral history and personal narrative interviews, participant observation, (auto)ethnography, immersive fieldwork, focus groups, and photo-elicitation) or the use of grounded theory, phenomenology-based ethnography, emergent theme analysis or narrative discourse analysis.

Mentoring
Kelsey has been involved as both a formal and informal mentor to new Graduate Teaching Assistants and Tutors within her department, both in her role as a Sessional Lecturer at Lakehead University, and as a Senior Tutor at the University of Otago.
Additionally, while a doctoral student at the University of Otago, Kelsey mentored two international taught Masters students, including providing assignment and thesis research and writing support, and taking on a pastoral care role.
